In the early 1990s, there was a lot of talk about the way that American films were changing from the "R" rating to "PG" to "PG-13". What I like about this film is that it does not rely on the "PG" rating, but instead shows how an "R" rated film can be just as good. The film is about a man named "Xiao Q" (John Wu) who is a street hustler, and he has a thing for young girls. He lives in the shadows, but is a person who is respected by his peers. The film starts off with Xiao Q taking a job in a brothel. During his job, he is informed of a group of "gourmet" prostitutes that are on the verge of leaving the brothel. The young women are treated very well, and the brothel owner, "Al" (Nicholas Campbell) takes a liking to Xiao Q. Xiao Q's life slowly starts to change when he meets two of the women. Xiao Q falls in love with the beautiful "Shi Tao" (Lina Le) and falls for the "Jade" (Lili Liu). Xiao Q's life is suddenly changed when he is forced to work in a brothel. Xiao Q begins to feel that he is not "normal" anymore. He starts to lose his job, his girlfriend, and his life. This is a very powerful film that will leave you thinking about it. The film is filled with themes that are related to the "PG" rating. It is told through the eyes of Xiao Q and the scenes are portrayed through a blue filter. The film is very disturbing and does not show violence, but rather scenes of a young girl being abused. This is not a film that is suitable for everyone. The film is very disturbing and will be hard to watch for some people. The film is about a man who is not "normal" and who is not happy with his life. The film is very powerful and should be watched by people who are not easily disturbed. I give this film an "A"
