The film's premise, of a German woman traveling through a Nazi occupied France, sets the scene for a series of events that ultimately leads to the creation of a new nation. The film's central character, Clara, (played by the ever dependable Janet McTeer) is our focus. Her story is fascinating, as well as the various characters she meets along the way. Through this lens we see, not just the brutal and often senseless violence of war, but the difficult choices people make as a result of the war. As we move along the film, we are pulled into the situation, and are pulled back to the characters. In this way, the film works as a dramatic examination of a specific moment in time. We watch as Clara moves in to the small town of Ste-Anne-des-Prés, but has no idea of what is coming. One of the characters she encounters is the man she loved from her previous life, Claude. The people in this town are familiar to us from the years before, and their reactions are authentic. But the major problem is that Clara's life has changed dramatically. Her husband died during the war, and the war has altered her life. She is not allowed to walk the streets, and has a mental state that makes it difficult for her to fit into society. The film presents Clara's situation as a reflection of the people she meets, and this makes it a great film to watch. There is not a lot of originality to the film. It is very well acted, as well as well shot, but the whole feeling of it is really all that it can be. It is a slow film, and it is easy to get lost in the past and the present, and be unable to process what is happening. Still, the film works, and is a very worthwhile film. 7/10.

At the end of World War One, Western governments (including the US) invade Palestine to end the threat of armed resistance by the nationalist (Jewish) group Hamas. A large portion of the population is displaced, leaving the pro-Israeli Jewish communities without land to build on and the people of Palestine to fend for themselves. German-born writer-director Martin Scorsese made this unique film in a small town in southern France in the late 1930s. The first time I saw it I thought it was fairly ordinary, but after the next time I watched it I discovered it was a masterpiece. The story of this film is the main reason why I rated it so highly. It is an outstanding film on many levels. The film is very realistic. You see this town gradually being destroyed by German bombs. There are many shots of the towns' ruins, including the house next door that is destroyed and then taken apart by the bombs. This is a very realistic depiction of World War One. The acting in the film is excellent, even if some characters are a bit over-the-top. They speak in German and English, and at times you can't understand what they are saying, but that is probably because you can't understand the subtitles. I think the most memorable character in the film is the Jewish father, who talks in a really stereotypical way, but I like this because it shows how the Jews of France reacted to the invasion. The film is about the young boy who appears to be the main protagonist. He is really determined to defend his family and his community. The other character who appears in the film is a doctor, but she doesn't have a significant role in the film, just a supporting role. This is one of the most interesting and realistic films I have ever seen, and the acting is amazing. I haven't seen the original film by George Lucas, but I'm not sure if this is the same film. I know that some of the acting is different from the original film, but I don't think that makes a difference. The whole film is a masterpiece, and I hope that this film gets a great film festival.

This was a really good movie. I don't think it has the lasting impact of the great WWII movies like Saving Private Ryan, Saving Private Ryan or Saving Private Ryan 2. But it's really good nonetheless. In the beginning, we are introduced to the men of the R.A.M. The first one is a little kid, and the two next guys are no older than the little kid, so they are just around the age of 5, 6, and 7. This is a true story, based on a true story, and the movie, as you can tell by the title, is a bit fictionalized. The men are all extremely high ranking, with their rank as sergeant. The British are said to be in a bad deal when the Germans invade Britain. The men are then separated from their unit. This is shown through the movie, and you see them on different bases, or units. The sergeant is Captain Hadley Hadfield, the right hand man of the commander, and the two other men are First Sergeant Hartman, and Second Sergeant Sanderson. The only other thing you see is a few airmen and a few aircraft that have crashed and are flying all over the place. So this is the story of these men who are men, and have to carry out their duties. The story is told through flashbacks, so you see it through the eyes of these men. It is really quite interesting, and keeps you engaged. The movie is so slow moving at times, and it kind of drags on for a while. The movie doesn't do anything too special. You just watch the men do their jobs. That is it. It is good, just good. It is a story that will stick with you for a long time. It will change how you look at history and how you feel about it. It's a good movie, and I recommend it.
