The first thing I had to say is that I found the movie interesting and the characters well played. For me, it was a real challenge to make an English film in Paris in the early 1920s. The most difficult thing was the French accents. The French I heard were quite loud and irritating. I'm from the United States and I couldn't hear a word the actors were saying. That may have been because the sound was horrible. The editing, the costumes, the acting all were very good. The other big challenge was to have a modern screenplay, one that was updated for the time, but also kept the story flowing. It was interesting to watch how the characters evolved. I enjoyed the music and the cinematography, and the choice of scenes was good. I also liked the story, but it was not the greatest. I think a lot of the problems were the scripts, not the actors. I have to give credit to the director for the story, but there were a couple of things I found in the script that didn't make much sense. For instance, the characters were so different from what I've read. I liked the characters, but they were written differently. I also didn't like the main character, and he didn't have much appeal to me. I liked the characters but there were too many of them. I don't know if the writers really wanted to make a film with seven characters, but I think they should have been more individualized. I do like the fact that they managed to stay true to the characters. I liked the romance, and the chemistry between the two main characters was well worked out. I thought the romance was very moving, and I liked how the film kept moving forward without ending. The actors did a fine job, but I did not think that the characters were that well done. I think it was a little difficult to follow what was going on, and I thought that the accents were sometimes confusing. I thought that the whole film was worth watching, but it would have been great to have a little more depth to the characters.
