We're all familiar with The Evil Dead. Its movie was first released in 1980 and became a cult classic, turning the whole horror genre on its head. To this day, people still use the term The Evil Dead to describe the film, its genre and even its theatrical release. But today, a new kind of zombie film is on the way. What if The Evil Dead and its sequels are one in the same? How would you top them? The answer is... The Evil Dead and Ringu! Ringu is a film that takes the material from the Evil Dead trilogy, makes it into a horror/suspense film and then gives it a fresh spin. As a fan of both Ringu and Evil Dead, I couldn't wait to watch this film. And I'm glad I did. Ringu is one of the best horror films I've seen in quite a while. It's not a film for the faint of heart or people who are easily scared, but it is a film that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole movie. While the first few minutes of the film are very disturbing and will probably have you on the edge of your seat, the film doesn't waste any time and you get hooked right away. The beginning of the film is pretty weird, with an explosion that looks very much like the main character shooting a gun, but after that, it really begins to pick up and becomes a lot more twisted. It is full of twists and turns, and very hard to predict. There are many characters in this film, and they are all very different. While some are sympathetic, most are just there to give you a reason to hate them. And I'm happy to say that the characters in Ringu are well developed. We see them develop, and you care about them. There's the main character played by Kevin Smith (who has since gone on to do movies like Clerks and Clerks II), a character played by a woman who is a drug addict and a minor character who has to put up with the rest of the characters, including a girl played by Jami Gertz, who is just as bad as the main character, but she has a bit more screen time. The only other character that has any screen time is the 'good guy', played by Michael Jai White. Although his character is not the biggest, he has some cool scenes. If you're expecting to see a good film, you're going to be very disappointed. While Ringu is a great film, I'm afraid that it's not for everyone. It's very disturbing, and some people may not like the gore in it, or the fact that it takes place in Japan. The plot of Ringu is very confusing and hard to follow, so if you're a horror fan, you may need to watch it a few more times. I think Ringu is one of the best horror films I've ever seen. I hope it inspires others to create more horror films, and that the films will become a lot better. It's a great film to watch, and I'm glad I've seen it.
