As far as I'm concerned, the whole concept of a mass shooting in a movie theater was pretty cool. So the first hour or so of this film was really solid. I'm not sure how much of the plot was actually necessary, but it was alright. The rest of the film, however, was just as entertaining. After seeing the scene where the assailant uses the gun in the movie theater, I really wanted to see that scene again. I guess I liked that more than anything else. The thing that really bothered me about this film is that it just felt like a bad remake of a pretty good movie. I was really hoping to see a new direction for the story, a new take on the thriller genre. I'm not going to say that it wasn't good, but I think the film makers just wanted to make a quick buck and capitalize on the success of the first movie. The film did have some pretty funny moments, but that's not really what the story was about. I'm also not sure what the point of the other characters was. They didn't have a ton of screen time, but I think it was probably to set up more action. I also thought that the movie took a few liberties with the original movie. For example, the killer was a killer in the original, but he wasn't in this one. I'm not sure if this was done for continuity or if it was just supposed to be different, but I thought it was just a little bit weird. I think the plot was good and it was enjoyable, but I think it could have been a lot better. I give the movie a 7 out of 10.
