Description	In a dystopian future, the totalitarian nation of Panem is divided into 12 districts and the Capitol. Each year two young representatives from each district are selected by lottery to participate in The Hunger Games. Part entertainment, brutal retribution for a past rebellion, the televised games are broadcast throughout Panem. The 24 participants are forced to eliminate their competitors while the citizens of Panem are required to watch. When 16-year-old Katniss' young sister, Prim, is selected as District 12's female representative, Katniss volunteers to take her place. She and her male counterpart, Peeta, are pitted against bigger, stronger representatives, some of whom have trained for this their whole lives.

I must admit I was expecting a much much better movie than this. I had heard many bad reviews about it, and I was looking forward to watching it. But when I started watching I was so happy I was not disappointed. The movie wasn't perfect, but it was still an amazing movie, very enjoyable to watch. I would give it a rating of 7.1 out of 10. This rating is only for the action scenes, and the emotional ones. If you are looking for a suspense movie, you will be disappointed. This movie has no feeling of excitement, or tension, like the first one had. Some of the characters were really sad, and other characters, were just ridiculous. The movie was a little too long. I thought some of the other characters were annoying. And some of the actions were really stupid. But there is no point to review the movies as a whole. You should watch this movie and judge for yourself.

This film was incredibly refreshing. There were no stupid sound effects or cheesy moves and makes me curious to see the sequel to it.

This movie is an adaptation of the novel written by Suzanne Collins, the same for it is with the video game series, however, this movie was made in a way that it is more of a movie. It does contain a lot of action, however, it is not as exciting as the book, but it is also not as long. There is one scene in which Katniss wins the individual Hunger Games by killing an individual who has a huge axe in his head, and it lasts for about 5 minutes. The only thing that i didn't like is the fact that Katniss has too much dialogue with Peeta. It is a very important part of the movie that Peeta's daughter survives, and this scene is made in the movie, which was a bit disappointing to me. Overall, i would recommend this movie to anyone, it's a fun movie, and not as boring as the book, but i would still recommend to anyone that reads the book.

I was really excited when I heard about this movie. I was looking forward to seeing it because I was always a huge fan of the Twilight books. So the Hunger Games was just a great book to make into a movie. It's well-written and well-paced. All of the characters are well-developed, and they are quite diverse. There is also a bit of romance in this film. The only complaint I had was that the character of Katniss Everdeen was a little bit under-developed. She was a strong leader and she was the leader of the rebellion, but I would have liked her to have more depth. There was no doubt about it, the other women were all very beautiful, and I liked all of them. This film definitely doesn't warrant an R rating, but a PG-13 was probably a good rating for the graphic violence. There was a bit of very graphic violence, especially towards the end of the film, but that's pretty much the only thing I found objectionable about this movie. The ending was completely unexpected and I think that was one of the best parts of the film. They didn't know what to do with the two that were left. It was well-done. Overall, I would definitely recommend this film to any fan of the books. I think that people who haven't read the books might be surprised by the intensity of this film, because I think that the characters are very different than the ones in the books. Overall, I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone who likes fantasy films and romance.

This is a very good film for action movie fans and new fans of the Hunger Games. I have been a fan of the book since I was 12, and after seeing the movie, I think that I will be a fan of the Hunger Games, or at least be a fan of Katniss, and Peeta. The plot of the film is the typical Hunger Games plot of the same theme, with many twists and turns and the number of enemies to defeat. There is a great amount of suspense and action, as well as a good amount of dark and intense action. All the characters are good, and the acting is very good. You can't go wrong with a film that has Jennifer Lawrence in it, but also I loved Josh Hutcherson as Peeta, because he was so beautiful in the film. The actors for the other characters were great, as well, and there are also some great performances from Nicholas Hoult and Woody Harrelson. I think that the film is a 7/10 for me. The rest of the film has a great amount of action, suspense, and a great amount of drama. It's great for action movie fans, but it is also for a great drama, and it's good for fans of the book. I definitely recommend this film to all the fans of the film genre, because it is a great film for both fans and non fans. I give this film a 9/10.

For the second time in 10 days I left a film feeling that I had been let down, this time by the acting of the three lead actresses. Kristen Stewart is a revelation, she actually does have the potential to act and bring it. Natalie Portman is, once again, as good as she has ever been. I like the character of Katniss but I have to admit that their relationship did seem a little lacking. The other two girls were just as good. It seemed that everyone was trying to do too much. The one thing I enjoyed about the film was the cinematography, the dark hazy shots of the Capitol are really beautiful. But I was very disappointed in the acting of the female lead. Jennifer Lawrence is simply too demanding, I didn't think that she could portray a child anymore and so therefore gave in to the cliches. I also thought that she was trying to take over the role of the female lead by getting her to be so reserved and out of touch with the reality of the situation. Other than that, the acting in this film was just average. And I am sure that I am not the only one who hated James McAvoy. He was just too wooden and seemed to be playing a caricature of himself. I was confused at times because he was the only one that seemed to be keeping up with the other two. Some scenes were just really cheesy and unnecessary, like when he is delivering the speech at the end and then he goes and has a snooze. And then he wakes up and is like, "Oh, I am sleeping, great. I am tired. I just had a wakaaaay!" The plot was a little simple but I still thought that they could have done a better job on this. The ending of the film was also something that I was very surprised about. It was a bit rushed, but then it was a bit confusing. All in all, I still feel that this film is a good film, just not one of the greats. The films performances are much better than the previous film and I enjoyed the cinematography and the plot. But this is simply not as good as the previous film.
