The most surprising thing about this film is that it's not all about the animation. The story is pretty similar to an old film called Robin Hood, but the story is better than I thought. This film is not quite the classic film that was in the 80's, but it's a solid film. It has a well written script, great characters, good humor, and a great soundtrack. And yes, it has a great score. The music is mostly upbeat songs that fit in perfectly with the tone of the film. It's not overly dramatic, nor does it overplay it, it fits into the movie perfectly. It's almost like a slow-paced James Bond film. Even though it's not exactly Bond, it's the style that the film is about. I would recommend this film to anyone, because the characters are well written and the story is interesting. I give it an 8/10. It's not perfect, but it's good. I recommend this film to anyone who likes animation.

I'm a huge fan of the childhood classic Monster Island and watched TurboCat, a sequel, a few weeks ago. Now I'm thoroughly disappointed. I don't know how this film can be good or bad. For me it is a clear bad example of making a sequel to a beloved classic, but using it as a secondary plot. I know the creators are trying to make a joke about the original, but it is very wrong. They shouldn't have remade the story from a classic. It doesn't make sense, they should have just made the sequel. In fact, it is so bad that the only thing that was good in the movie was the voice acting. They could have just remade the story from Monster Island into a movie about an American cat who is transported to a magical island in order to find her family. I'm a huge fan of the original and TurboCat is very much a part of that. For me it was a waste of time.

I've always liked Kevin Smith's style of storytelling. Sometimes, it works and sometimes, it doesn't. While this movie has some moments that work, it doesn't have enough of them to warrant the praise I give it. There are a few really good lines in the movie, like when Kevin Smith and his friend Bill Hader play the college basketball game that is in a way similar to the film that is All That. Then, there's the infamous "R'n'B" scene that is possibly the most unintentionally funny scene in the movie, and is one of the funniest in recent memory. But, the thing that really bothers me about this movie is its over-use of profanity. There are some really funny lines and I know it's a PG-13 movie, but there's a lot of talk about sex that is just really unnecessary. There are a few scenes where there's even more profanity and there's a few times where it gets really intense, but I just can't get into it. There's a scene where Kevin Smith rips off the first entry of the comic strip "The Sandman" and it's extremely funny, but the scene is very crude and unnecessary. In conclusion, this movie is definitely worth seeing for Kevin Smith's fans. And for fans of the film, it's definitely worth seeing for the movie itself.
