There are many reasons to like this movie. One of them is that the writers have made it quite clear that the main character has her own agenda, and that her actions are not just an act, but rather the result of her own choices and decisions. It's a very real, complex character, and one that has a lot of interesting and compelling story to tell. The movie does a good job of depicting the dilemma and confusion that happens when a person has a particular set of values that are so deeply ingrained in them, that they are unable to accept anything that might conflict with these values. The character of Elizabeth has these values, and so does the film. I found myself in the same boat as her. It's really hard to explain what it's like to have values that you can't accept, so when you find yourself acting in a way that doesn't conform to these values, you're in for a big, big struggle. So when Elizabeth and her mother move in to the country, it's a challenge. It's not a challenge you can simply shrug off. Elizabeth finds herself with a very odd set of values. Her values are as strong as her morals, but because of these values, she cannot accept the new life in the country. So when she finds out that her new friends are gay, she finds herself having to choose between her morals and her new life. That's the dilemma. The story isn't complicated, it's not incredibly deep, but it's a great story, and the film manages to hold the viewer's attention throughout. It's not a complicated movie, but it's definitely worth watching.
