I have been a Grateful Dead fan since the mid-80's and have been following their development since. I always knew that they had to stop touring in the late 90's, but when the people on tour started turning up to their shows, I had to know more. In fact, I knew that Jerry Garcia had been playing on the road for a while and it was just a matter of time. I watched this documentary and had no idea that this documentary would be so well put together and so funny. This documentary is one of the best documentaries I have ever seen. I don't even think I can find a worse documentary than this. I don't think I could watch it twice. I really like the way the documentary has been put together. I would say that the best part of the documentary is the very last half hour of it. It really shows how hard it was for the band to start playing concerts again and how they had to stop making money to make money again. When they did start playing in the early 90's, it was just a matter of time before they would stop playing on the road and go back to the recording studio. I would say that if you are a fan of the Grateful Dead, this documentary is a must watch. If you are not a fan, this documentary is probably not for you. I rate this documentary 10/10 and I would like to see more documentaries like this. I am not saying that the Grateful Dead has to stop touring. It is a big business, it just seems that people want to change the subject of the documentary to something else. I think that is a great idea and it really is about the documentary as a whole. This documentary is really good and I would recommend this to anyone who likes music.
