I saw this movie in the theater when it was first released. It took me three weeks to figure out how to read subtitles. I'm glad I did. This movie is about the legacy of a troubled man. It's a powerful and honest look at what it's like to be mentally and physically unstable. It's not fun, but it's not fun either. And that's the point. This movie is so honest about how mental illness can make people fail and if you don't manage it well, it can destroy your life. I never would have guessed the brilliance of Mr. Steven, who directs and co-wrote this movie. I have to say this is one of the best movie I've seen in years. I'm a film buff. I like to be surprised. I love seeing a film like this that shows people on the inside, showing how they deal with their problems. If you don't understand what the point of this movie is, you are completely missing the point. To me, it's about a man who is addicted to painkillers, so he is forced to live an addiction-ridden life, and to finally be accepted in his true love, by his daughter, and his doctor. I also love how he makes these people fall in love with him, and let us all see the ups and downs of his life. I loved the scenes with him smoking. I think that's the part of his life that is most loved and important to him. But also the parts with him in the hospital, with his daughter, and his doctor. This is an amazingly deep, realistic movie that you should see. If you haven't seen it, then please, go out and see it. I hope you will feel the same way I do about this movie. 10/10
