Description In a teenage party, a group of friends download the app Countdown that predicts when the user will die. The teenager Courtney sees that she has just a couple of hours to live and does not accept the ride of her drunken boyfriend Evan. She walks home but she is killed by a supernatural creature when the timer in her cellphone reaches zero. Meanwhile Evan crashes his car at the same time of her death and he goes to a hospital where the nurse Quinn Harris works. Evan discloses that he is afraid to go into surgery since the app Countdown predicts that he will die at the same time of the surgery. The doctors and nurses of the hospital decide to download the app and Quinn learns that she has only three days of life. When Evan mysterious dies in an accident at the hospital, Quinn buys a new cellphone and finds that the app is also installed. When she meets Matt Monroe at the parking lot of the store, she learns that his death is predicted for a couple of hours before her and they team-up to look for a means to break the curse.

Wes Craven, the guy who brought us Scream and The Last House on the Left, was known for his different but perfectly well made slashers. The problem is, he has a pretty bad habit of putting people in these slashers. We have the Punisher, X-Men, and now The Hollow. What is wrong with Craven? Well, he doesn't realize how good and good looking these actors are and actually makes the audience think the actors are really pretty good. You think they are all just stand-ins. (looking like they belong in a nightclub). Craven also has no understanding of how much of a character the audience should like. A big problem with this movie is that the characters have no purpose other than to be there. The movie was directed by John Toll, but I can't tell if he directed it well. He clearly didn't know what to do with the movie, since it seems to have a lot of wasted time, but the movie itself is over 2 hours long. The characters are just there, with a lot of unnecessary scenes. For example, the movie starts out like it has a lot of back and forth, but you're quickly bored by the repetitive scenes. Even though you're bored, you want to be back and see what happens next. The story is ridiculous. In the beginning of the movie, the FBI are on the prowl for their serial killer, who was the main reason for a kidnapping. They find a body and the guy is no longer a serial killer. Then they find out that the person responsible for the kidnapping is actually the killer. The FBI are furious, as the guy was a good guy, and they want to find the real killer. Now, let's just say, they are not as stupid as Craven thinks they are. And they will make the FBI come up with some other explanation. (no matter how ridiculous it is). This movie was terrible. I thought this movie would be good, but I was really wrong. I was annoyed by the dullness of the movie, and I didn't care how much of a character I liked. The acting is bad. You would think a movie with an amazing cast would have someone stand out. Well, Craven didn't. I like a lot of the actors in this movie, but they weren't great. I was really disappointed by John Travolta. The man is good, but he is not great. I thought he was just in it for the paycheck. I hate movies that try to be funny, but the humor doesn't work. In the beginning of the movie, the director tries to make us laugh. After awhile, he stops trying and he just pretends to be serious. This movie is not worth seeing. You can skip it, since it's pointless and your time is better spent watching something else.

Mowry seemed like a movie I could really like. It was written by a writer I liked from reading up on his work and liked his other movie to death. But it was a very slow paced film. The acting wasn't too good, and the dialog was very dry. In fact, it was almost unengaging. I was most impressed with the original film that was used in the previews, and I was hoping the movie would be like that. But I was wrong. The movie had a lot of flaws. For example, the actress playing Cara was very thin, and looked about as ugly as a typical porn star. But the actress had a great attitude and was good at playing the role of a tough tough chick. It was the same with the other actor who played Dave. I thought his acting was great. But there was a lot of flat acting in this film, and they were kind of over acting. A lot of the acting was bad, and I thought that was the movie's biggest problem. The problem with this movie was that it had a lot of the movie's flaws. The movie seemed to be trying to be smart, and it was only trying to be an entertaining movie. But it was neither, because it tried to be cool and funny, and it was just plain boring. I would say it was fun, but it wasn't something I would watch again. But I definitely would watch it again, it was entertaining, but not great. If you're looking for something to watch on a lazy Sunday afternoon, you might like it. If you're looking for something that you could take with you and watch it again, you'd probably be disappointed. My rating is 7 out of 10.
