This film was interesting to me because I've been in the punk scene for about 10 years now and I have a lot of respect for the artists involved in this documentary. However, I do feel that it is a little misleading about how the music scene developed in the early 90's. The scenes are all very much over-the-top and cartoonish. Also, there is no real background on the bands or their music. It is just a bunch of random people who are some of the main influences on the punk scene. It is also very easy to look at the film and say "this is what the scene is like now" because the scene is very much "in-between". It is a little more realistic and it is also much more fun to watch. But, the people in the documentary are probably the most interesting part of the film. The main point of the documentary is the music scene and how bands were created and how bands can be influenced by the music scene. I also think that the "icon" that this documentary is really trying to say is "the punk scene". The documentary does show a lot of the cool music that was happening in the scene, but it does not really go into the origins of punk and how bands became what they are today. Also, the documentary focuses on bands who were actually in the scene, but it does not really go into the different bands and how they became what they are today. Overall, I thought this was a really interesting documentary about the punk scene. However, I also think that it could have been better. The documentary is very much over-the-top and cartoonish and it is not really about bands. Also, the documentary focuses on bands who were not in the scene, but does not go into their origins. Overall, I liked the documentary and I think that it is worth watching, but I think that it could have been better.
