Description A biographical portrait of Daniel Patrick Moynihan, twentieth century colossus: public intellectual, policy specialist, ambassador and U.S. Senator from New York. The film captures the spirit of Moynihan's remarkable ideas as they evolved over the course of his tumultuous life in postwar America, featuring both the triumphs and the controversies. A poor boy who grew up on the streets of Depression-era NY to become a Harvard professor, Moynihan devoted his decades-long career -- serving both Democratic and Republican administrations -- to battling poverty. Possessed of a natural wit that appealed to both elite and street, Moynihan remains one of the most widely quoted people of his generation. Moynihan's legacy continues to be claimed by both the left and right, even as he defies easy categorization. The film is an exploration into the heady and boisterous world of ideas that helped shape his complex worldview, and the policy prescriptions that have stood the test of time. At a moment of degraded political discourse, MOYNIHAN re-elevates the debate.

Movies, like people, have different levels of personality. There are, for example, very strong personalities, like Steve Jobs, and very weak personalities, like my grandmother. However, the human being is at the middle. We are all different, and we all have different personalities. We are all very human, in a very complex way. The same is true of movies. In the best movies, there is something called "brilliance" - that is, the ability to draw us into the story. This is a very rare quality, and it is one of the reasons why we love movies. But in the worst movies, the ability to draw us into the story is so feeble that it is like watching paint dry. If you are a movie buff, and you want to see a good movie, you have to see one of the best movies ever made. In other words, you have to see "The Godfather", "Schindler's List", "A Mighty Wind", "Platoon", "Full Metal Jacket", "The Conversation", "Fahrenheit 9/11", "The Usual Suspects", "The Usual Suspects II", "The Godfather Part II", "True Romance", "Casino Royale", "The Last Seduction", "The Usual Suspects", "A Few Good Men", "The Usual Suspects", "The Godfather Part II", "The Godfather Part III", "The Godfather Part IV", "The Godfather Part V", "The Godfather Part VI", "The Godfather Part VII", "The Godfather Part VIII", "The Godfather Part IX", "The Godfather Part X", "The Godfather Part XI", "The Godfather Part XII", "The Godfather Part XIII", "The Godfather Part XIV", "The Godfather Part XV", "The Godfather Part XVI", "The Godfather Part XVII", "The Godfather Part XVIII", "The Godfather Part XIX", "The Godfather Part XX", "The Godfather Part XXI", "The Godfather Part XXII", "The Godfather Part XXIII", "The Godfather Part XXIV", "The Godfather Part XXV", "The Godfather Part XXVI", "The Godfather Part XXVII", "The Godfather Part XXVIII", "The Godfather Part XXIX", "The Godfather Part XXX", "The Godfather Part XXXI", "The Godfather Part XXXII", "The Godfather Part XXXIII", "The Godfather Part XXXIV", "The Godfather Part XXXV", "The Godfather Part XXXVI", "The Godfather Part XXXVII", "The Godfather Part XXXVIII", "The Godfather Part XXXIX", "The Godfather Part XL", "
