In his first feature film after his first and only successful Hollywood feature, Yugoslavian director Dusan Makavejević is tasked with a script that feels like a modern retelling of Ivan Krastev's classic The Sound of Music. Makavejević, as a composer, is tasked with retelling the story of the opera. Instead, he sets it in modern day in Istanbul. Makavejević's direction is done with a sleek elegance. He focuses on the movements and transitions, and his camera work is both fluid and precise. The music itself is also very melodious, as it is matched with a score that is very fitting to the story. The only problem I had with this film was the casting. In the original opera, Ivan Krastev was played by a male chorus, and the original script was written by a female cast. The new cast, in my opinion, is just not fitting. The lead actress, Ismaila Tomasevic, who plays Ivan Krastev, is far too young to be playing Ivan Krastev. He is a man of the late 1800s, not a man of the 1960s. This is a problem with the casting. On the other hand, the young female lead, Soraya, is an excellent actress. I'm not sure why she was cast in the role of a young woman. It's not a problem that she doesn't fit the role, as she is excellent in it. In the end, The Sound of Music is an excellent film, and a good adaptation of the story of the opera. However, it is a film that is far too long, and does not really live up to its potential. The acting is superb, and the story is well-done. I give The Sound of Music an 8/10.

Let's start with the positive. The movie has its heart in the right place and a lot of the scenes are really touching. The acting is excellent, especially from the leading lady, and the story is both interesting and intriguing. The movie is also about a Russian ballet student named Mariya (Svetlana Piskunova), who is unhappy with her life. Her problems are all centered around her relationship with her boyfriend, who is a dancer. Mariya is a serious woman who doesn't enjoy dancing and only enjoys watching her boyfriend's performance. Mariya has a hard time adjusting to the music of her boyfriend's performance. Mariya starts to develop feelings for him, but her relationship with him is still quite strained. The movie is very emotional, but the problems are still there. Mariya's boyfriend is not happy with her relationship with her boyfriend, so Mariya has to deal with the problems. She does what she can, but her problems are still there. The problem is also on her boyfriend's performance. He is not happy with his performance, but he is still attached to his performance. He is not happy with Mariya. The movie is also about love. Mariya has feelings for her boyfriend, but he doesn't seem to be interested in her. Mariya wants to get away from her problems and live her life. Mariya is a ballet student who has her own problems. Mariya is determined to get away from her problems. The movie also has a great cast, especially the lead actress. Piskunova is very beautiful and talented. She has the looks to be a great ballet student. She has the look and talent to be a great dancer. She is also very expressive and beautiful. The other actors are good, too. The problem is that the movie is not quite satisfying. It is a bit too long. It is not the best movie I have ever seen. I give it a 7 out of 10. The only reason I am giving it a 7 is because of the acting. This movie is a bit too long, but it is worth seeing.

I wasn't expecting much from this film but after watching it I was surprised by how good it was. It's a fairly slow film, probably for people who don't like to go out and watch films as they're not really engaging at that point in the film but after that it's quite a good film with a great story and good performances from the actors. The story takes place in the late 18th Century. The film stars Brigitte Lahaie (Star Trek: The Next Generation, 12 Monkeys) as Anne and Francois Cluzet as Georges. Anne is a wealthy lady who had her father killed by a royal who was an atheist. She has been forced to live in exile in France for ten years. She is befriended by an old friend of hers who teaches her the secrets of the 17th Century. Georges is a poor painter who is forced to hide his true identity by his employer. The film is based on a true story and you really have to see it to understand what is going on. The film is very slow, but the story is quite gripping. The film is about a young girl who is fascinated by the 17th Century, so much so that she starts to make paintings of it. This is where the story really picks up and it's about Anne and Georges. The film is very interesting and keeps you engaged for the entire film. The performances are great from both of the actors and it's also worth noting that Brigitte Lahaie is one of my favourite actors and she did a wonderful job in this film. There is also a nice romance between Anne and Georges. The film is definitely worth watching and it's also worth noting that it's worth seeing on DVD if you're interested in the period. 7/10

I first saw this film in the cinema in 1989. As I recall, I was rather impressed with it. At the time, the British director, Ian Kershaw, had just produced a film that was pretty controversial - he had cast as the main character a gay man, and it was perceived as a triumph for a British director. I wasn't familiar with the plot of the film at the time, but I did remember the title and the high rating that the film had received in the US. I'm pretty sure that, because I had seen it in 1989, I would have rated it as a 7. And, judging by the comments that I've seen on IMDb, I can't imagine that many people did. I'm not sure what people saw in it - it certainly wasn't a masterpiece, but it was an enjoyable film that I would recommend to a friend of mine. The acting is good. I don't know if it's because I'm older, but I found the lead character, who is played by an older man, to be very convincing. His mannerisms and his mannerisms alone made me think that this was a good performance. I was also impressed by the performance of the other characters. The principal character, played by an actor who I don't know and who I can't remember, was convincing as the lead in the film. And, although I have no idea who the director was, he definitely had a presence that made me think that this was a good performance. The film was, in my opinion, a good adaptation of the play, and it was interesting to see how the story had been adapted to the screen. I also think that, although the film may have been a little bit predictable, I still had fun watching it. And, I must admit, I did find the film somewhat engaging. It was a good film that I would recommend to friends.
