I have been an avid fan of the music of the late, great Bob Dylan for some time. I'm not sure if this is the best film on the subject, but it's certainly the most comprehensive. I have read some of Dylan's earlier work and have always found his lyrics to be both fascinating and lyrical. This film is about the rise and fall of Dylan's career in the 1960's and it is presented in a way that is both informative and entertaining. I have read reviews of this film that criticize the film for having too many interviews with Dylan. I disagree. The film is largely devoted to his early life, his relationships with his father, his mother, and his friends, and he talks about his life through the lens of his music. This is the first film that I've seen that gives a complete picture of Dylan's life. I haven't read any of Dylan's autobiographical work, but I know that he has always been very concerned about his family, and this film gives a good sense of what it was like to be a young man in a very turbulent time in his life. I have a lot of respect for the people who have criticized this film for having too many interviews with Dylan. I think that the interviews are extremely well done and give a sense of Dylan's life that is very unique and unique in its own right. I also agree with the critics who say that the film is a little too long. This is the only film I have ever seen that has been edited down to about 90 minutes. This is a great film that I highly recommend to anyone who is interested in Dylan's music. I am looking forward to seeing more films from the director, Rick Schaeffer.
